What is AIdaimonia?
In the 4th century BCE, Aristotle wrestled with a simple, hard question: What makes a life go well? Tools were changing, cities were booming, and new “technologies” (from mechanics to money) were reshaping Greek life. He concluded that real happiness isn’t a mood or a milestone—it’s eudaimonia: flourishing through virtuous action, even as the world churns.
That idea is more relevant than ever. AI is a transformative technology set to reshape how we work, live, and contribute over the next 5–10 years. The open question isn’t “Will AI take all the jobs?” It’s: What does it mean to be human—and to thrive and work with purpose—when intelligent tools are everywhere?
